We Help Empower Individuals In Need

Women’s Resource Center advocates for the personal empowerment and economic self-sufficiency of women and girls in La Plata County.

What We Do

We offer a supportive environment for individuals in need to access empowering community resources. WRC offers resources for domestic violence, financial assistance, healthcare, housing sexual assault and much more. Whether its support with food, shelter, clothing or help with a business, we’ll take the time to learn about the unique challenges you face and can help you develop a plan of action to get you back on your feet and on your way to economic self-sufficiency.

We encourage individuals to call or visit our offices to access our full range of services and support. We work 1 on 1 with our clients to assess their immediate needs as well as long term goals. No appointment necessary, all individuals are welcome!

  • "Many thanks to the Women's Resource Center for helping me pay tuition. I thought I was going to have to put my education on hold, but your help allowed me to finish my degree and begin my career. My girls and I have gone from merely surviving to thriving!"
